REPORT

                     On Thursday, 21st November 2024, at 10:00 AM, a demonstration on the impact of different sanitary pads was conducted at the multipurpose hall of our college. The session, attended by guests Sindhu and Aswathy Vishwanadhan, aimed to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and the importance of using advanced sanitary products. The demonstration highlighted the limitations of traditional pads, such as discomfort, leakage, and susceptibility to infections, and introduced the features of Modicare Freedom Extreme Comfort Sanitary Napkins. They also promoted online marketing.The revolutionary 5-in-1 technology, including Chitin for infection prevention, Nano Silver for antibacterial protection, Magnetic and Far Infrared for comfort, and Anion for freshness, was explained in detail. A practical comparison showcased the superior absorption, comfort, and all-day protection provided by the eight-layered design of Freedom pads. The session effectively educated the participants on the significance of choosing the right menstrual hygiene products for a safer and more comfortable experience.

AWARENESS CLASS ON PRENATAL PERIOD

On 30 th september 2024. Navajyothi college of Teacher Education for women, Olarikkara, in collaboration with IQAC and SHERO (WDC), organised an awareness programme titled "Empowering Women: A Hollistic Approach to Prenatal Care, Health an Hygiene". the session held in the multipurpose hall at 1.45 pm, featured Dr. P Tara Thomas, a specialist in obstetrics and Gynecology with her extensive qualifications in MBBS, MS(OBGY), fellowship in laparoscopy, infertility an robotic surgery provided valuable insights into prenatal care , health and hygiene. the event began with a welcome speech by Iris Sunny, followed by Dr. Tara Thomas informative talk on the importance of regular checkup, nutrition, mental well being and hygiene practices during pregnancy and also discussed advanced medical techniques for infertility and gynecological care. the event aimed to empower women by educating them on essential health practices and advanced medical treatments. the students actively engaged in Q & A session following the presentation, asking Dr.Tara Thomas for advice on various health issues. the programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Christy who expressed gratitude to Dr. P Tara Thomas, the organizing committee and all participants for making the event success.

The Women Development Cell (WDC) of Navajyothi College, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized the WDC Magazine Publication event titled "SHERO" on October 8, 2024, at 9:30 AM in the multi-purpose hall. The event, inaugurated by the Principal, aimed to celebrate women's achievements and contributions, with the official launch of the magazine featuring inspiring stories, articles, and creative works centered on women's empowerment. The program included a welcome speech, a keynote address by the Principal, student presentations, and discussions on gender equality. The event successfully provided a platform for meaningful conversations on women's empowerment,reinforcing the instituitions's commitment to inclusivity and academic excellence.

                 On September 9, 2024 a collage competition was held at the multipurpose hall, conducted on a NIMS group basis. The event aimed to provide students with an opportunity to express their creativity, team work and social awareness through collage making. Participants showcased their artistic skills for addressing important theme " Stop Violence Against Women" and promoting critical thinking
                 The collage competition successfully highlighted the artistic and social awareness of the students. the inclusion of the themes like " Stop Violence Against Women" brought to light critical social issues, making the event not only a creative endevour but also a platform for advocasy. The event concluded with appreciation for the participants, mentees for providing materials, and judges for their valuable feedback, encouraging students to continue using their talents for positive change
